MORE than 100 students from Nunnery Wood High School have taken part in a maths challenge.
The annual junior maths challenge is aimed a pupils in year 8 or below in England and Wales.
136 pupils took 25 multiple choice questions in one hour under exam conditions.
34 of the pupils were given certificates for being amongst the highest scorers in the country.
Year 8 student, Lloyd Rawles and Year 7 student, Emmanuel Adesola achieved ‘Best in Year’.
Head of Maths, Dave Westhead said: “We are delighted with the results of the recent Junior Maths Challenge.
"Being able to show your understanding in different and demanding ways shows clear mathematical skills in action.
"The results are the rewards of the students’ hard work and progress made in mathematics.”
