HUSBAND and wife team Ben and Geraldine Mannion produced two show-stopping performances to lift the Strictly Worcestershire crown in the sell out event’s third year.

Proceeds from the black tie dance spectacular at Chateau Impney, Droitwich are still being counted and will boost the £20,000 already raised for Worcestershire Breast Unit Campaign and Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer over the past two years. Mr Mannion, director at Hewett Recruitment, and his wife wowed the 760 strong audience and judges alike with their rumba and tango.

Mrs Mannion, senior HR operations partner at Halliburton, the oil and natural gas company of Tewkesbury, said: "We’re both overwhelmed and feel so lucky to have met so many incredible people and made so many new and wonderful friends."

Edged out in a thrilling dance off were Julie Clifford, senior medical secretary at Worcestershire Royal Hospital, and Steve Chamberlain, who works for The Green Bus in the West Midlands. The audience award winners were Mahmut Guler, manager of Bolero Bar and Kitchen in Worcester, and Jenny Gage, chief executive officer of Sight Concern Worcestershire.

Fellow contestants playing their part in a dazzling event, hosted by Free Radio DJ Hursty, were: Dawn Owen of Bodykraft Group and James Osborne, family law solicitor at Harrison Clark Rickerbys; Jennifer Appleton, operations director at ISO Quality Services Ltd, and Chris Orr, individual banking manager at Handelsbanken Worcester; Toby Holt, manager of restructuring and recovery services at Smith & Williamson LLP and Sarah Radley, managing director of Inksmoor Group Ltd; Clare Cross, account manager at Source Design and Print and Sam-Vandeleur Broadway, director of Emm's Haberdashers in Droitwich Spa and Su and Noel Colledge, operations director and repairs manager respectively at ludlowthompson.
