A CRANE has been used to pull out three trees which have been stuck in the River Severn in recent months.
Tree surgeons are at the site today where the giant willow trees, which went into the river in the winter, have been crane-lifted out.
St John's-based Nick Denley Tree Surgeons have cordoned off the area to the public, between the Worcester bridge and the Sabrina Bridge, throughout the day while the work is being carried out.
Nick Denley told the Worcester News they had eight workmen at the site and were pulling them out with the crane, then using a chainsaw to cut the trees into smaller pieces.
