CHILDREN from Claines Primary met an Olympic pentathlete as part of an initiative encouraging them to be active.

Pupils met Heather Fell who cheered on the students as they tried out star jumps, sit ups and press ups.

The event was called Team Superschools, a scheme which challenges children to get active and raise funds for sports equipment for their school.

The idea is sponsored by Brioche Pasquier.

Olivier Ripoche, the company's commercial director, said: "At Brioche Pasquier we encourage a healthy lifestyle, and sporting events like this show how much fun keeping active can be.

"We know how important it is to keep up energy throughout the day which is why we are refuelling all children taking part with a brioche roll from our PITCH range.

“We also provide every child who takes part in these events with a pedometer, so they can see how active they have been throughout the day.”

Jason Gardener, Olympic Medallist and co-founder of Team Superschools, added: "It is great that so many kids were involved in sport at Claines Primary school supported by Brioche Pasquier.

"It was a very fun and enjoyable day."
