A CHURCH in Droitwich will be transformed into an open air theatre this summer to mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death.
The Madcap Theatre company will perform Much Ado About Nothing in the garden of St Andrews's Church, in St Andrew's Street, on Friday, July 1.
The Reverend Bev Jameson, team vicar of Droitwich Spa, Salwarpe and Hindlip with Martin Hussingtree, said: "Last year's production was excellent it was a really good evening. I encourage people to buy their tickets as soon as possible.
"We will have a great time whatever the weather. Hopefully the sun will shine and we will be in the garden, but if it rains we will be inside the church."
Guests are asked to arrive early to choose a good spot, and should bring their own picnics, chairs and drinks. Strawberries and cream, included in the ticket price, will be available during the interval.
The Rev Jameson is also Dean of Women’s Ministry for the Diocese of Worcester.
The show will start at 7pm and tickets can be bought by calling 01905 827354.
