A cyclist was beaten up after a row with a driver.

He had serious facial injuries after the attack in Malvern.

It happened at about 12.30pm on Sunday, June 12, in Madresfield Road.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was cycling across Pickersleigh Road, Malvern, when there was a row with the driver of a black Volkswagen Golf.

He then cycled up Ashdown Rise and on to Madresfield Road, where he saw the same vehicle waiting for him.

Three men got out of the car. All were described as white and in their late teens/early twenties.

The first man, the driver of the Golf, is described as about 6ft tall with a skinny build and light coloured hair.

He was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap and a white T-shirt.

The second man is described as stocky in build with short dark hair. He was wearing a light coloured T-shirt.

The third man is described as being of slim build with short spiky ginger hair.

There was also a woman with the group. She sat in the front passenger seat but did not leave the vehicle.

Following a further row, the victim was approached by the second man who punched him in the face and on the hand several times.

The victim had placed the man in a head-lock when the other two men approached.

They then proceeded to hit him several times in the head and body.

A nearby neighbour heard the commotion and came out, at which point the three men got back into the Golf and left in the direction of Great Malvern.

The victim had serious facial injuries and bruising to his ribs and hand which required hospital treatment.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or has any information which could be related to the incident.
