POLICE are still hunting for a rapist who attacked a young woman on a Warndon Villages footpath in the early hours of the morning.

There has been no arrests so far despite police releasing an e-fit of a man they wish to speak to after a woman in her 20s was attacked on Wednesday, June 15.

She was raped on a public footpath leading from Woodgreen Drive to Plantation Drive between 2am and 3.30am.

A police spokeswoman said the investigation is on going and they were still appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Craig Tennant of Worcestershire Reactive CID said: "Since the attack, we have increased patrols in the area to reassure the local community, and have an e-fit image of a man we wish to speak to in connection with incident.

"We urge members of the public to contact West Mercia Police if they recognised the man."

The individual is described as an Asian man, slim build, 5ft 11in in height, mid 20s, clean shaven and had black hair with a fringe.

He was wearing a black zip up hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms, and reported to have had a mild Indian accent.
