PUPILS at Bowbrook House school have taken part in the an end of term concert inspired by celebrations about Shakespeare's 400th anniversary.

The youngsters took part in A Midsummer Night's Scenes, which brought together a mixture of William Shakespeare's plays.

It also featured Beatles' hits including the adapted Play Script Writer.

The play was directed by Mo Wood and produced by James Auden and musical director Laura Buzzing.

In it, the witches from Macbeth conjure up William Shakespeare, who was played by year 7 pupil Seb Dear.

He explains to his wife that Anne Hathaway, played by year 8 Lily Moore, was not the brains behind the Bard’s writing.

The audience are then invited to see Romeo and Juliet as a way to explore Shakespeare's life story.

The Shakespeare summer celebration was a sell out.
