A PEOPLETON school has learnt about British values thanks to a visit from a deputy lord lieutenant.
Reverend Philip Auden, the deputy lord lieutenant for Bristol city and county, visited Bowbrook House school and spoke to pupils from the lower school on Thursday, June 23.
Rev Auden talked about his role and how one of his duties is to instil values to those wishing to adopt British citizenship.
He also talked about the British dignitaries he had met during his time in office including former Prime minister Baroness Thatcher, Prime Minister, David Cameron and Princess Anne.
Rev Auden, who is the father of teacher James Auden, also gave pupils an insight into the Queen, telling pupils she had been heard mimicking the Bristolian accent during a visit.
