TWO year six pupils from St John’s Middle School and Aston Fields Middle School have organised a children’s disco to raise money for Parkinsons and the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Maggie Aveyard, a pupil at St John's, and her friend Isla Leckie who goes to Aston Fields, decided to make the most of the start of the summer holidays by celebrating in style and raising some money for a good cause in the process.

The two girls have organised the disco at Bromsgrove Rugby Football Club on Friday, July 22 with a DJ and entertainment included in the form of a virtual reality suite.

There will also be raffle, and glowsticks will be on sale, along with sweets and crisps.

Maggie said: “We have been working very hard, as we are very happy to be raising lots of money for a good cause. We have also been trying to create Bromsgrove’s biggest non-uniform day.”

The youngsters have even arranged it so that adults can stay around and enjoy the bar next door while the disco takes place.

The disco is running from 7-9pm and tickets are being sold for £3 on a first come first served basis.
