CUB scouts from across Worcestershire will be converging on Blackwell Adventure in Bromsgrove this weekend.

Over a thousand cub scouts and volunteers will descend on the Blackwell site as part of their 100 year celebrations, where cub packs will be taking part in numerous adventure activities ranging from archery to zorbing.

Mark Bache, who is the assistant county commissioner for cub scouts in West Mercia, said: "It's fantastic that so many cub scouts and volunteers are coming together for this special occasion."

1,140 cub scouts are expected to turn out for the event.

Cub scouting first started in 1916 and there are now estimated to be 150,000 of them across the UK, 25,000 of which are girls.

Activities available at Blackwell include archery, climbing, caving, zorbing, zip wire, 3G swing and swimming.
