BROMSGROVE Lions Club have helped provide another local school with a potential life saving defibrillator.
Having already helped equip two Catshill schools earlier in the year, the Lions have now been able to provide North Bromsgrove High School and Sixth Form with similar facilities.
The school helped raise half the funds for the defibrillator themselves by raffling off an Easter Bunny which had been donated to them by both the Lions and students from Thorne College.
Remaining funds were raised by the Lions thanks to help from M & Co who hosted a fashion show in their High Street store.
Following the presentation, Rob Underwood from the Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation led a training session for first aiders and interested staff from the school.
They were updated on basic CPR and other first aid skills before being shown how to use the defibrillator.
They were also introduced to a free app on smartphones called 'Crowdsav' which can help locate the closest defibrillator in the event of an emergency.
