YEAR 4 children at Oasis Academy Warndon have created story sacks to donate to the community.
The story sacks are bags that can contain books, activities related to the story and arts and crafts.
The children visited Warndon library on Friday, July 22 to donate the ones they had made to the community and also gave some to the Riverbank children's ward at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
The youngsters have been invited to return to the library in September to see how the sacks are being used.
Miss Rice, one of the Year 4 teachers, said: “We are all really proud of the hard work that the children have put in, and to have the chance to share them with the community is excellent!”
It was one of the children’s ideas to donate to the children’s ward.
Harley Showell said: “There isn’t that many books at the hospital, so hopefully these will make the children smile.”
