A RECORD amount was raised at a popular fete in Wichenford on Saturday.
The popular Worcester village featured another varied programme, with the aim to provide something for everyone.
The fete included a dog show, a bouncy castle, a puppet show, various stalls, toys and books, a cake sale, teas and other refreshments, and a guess the name of the teddy competition.
The event was held on the green next to Wichenford Memorial Hall, in Venn Lane, and visitors enjoyed the glorious sunshine throughout the event.
Overall £2,800 was raised, which is being used to support facilities and clubs within the village.
John Kidd, who was among those who helped at the event, said: "It was a good day, a record amount raised.
"The figure may rise a little but its still the best amount raised."
