A GROUP will shave their heads for charity in support of a friend next month.
Gill Hiler, 65, from Leigh Sinton and John MacDonald will have the haircut at Paco Delgado's hairdresser in Cheltenham, the workplace of her son Elliot Hiler who will also shave his head.
They are doing it for Sue Hiler, 69, Gill's husband Len's first wife who was diagnosed with liver and bowel cancer earlier this year.
Gill said: "We are all very close to Sue, we are like one big family.
"I wanted to do something to show her how special she is to all of us and to tell her never to give up this fight that she is battling.
"My daughter and some of her friends did the race for life but at 65 I would not have been able to do it so I thought that I would do this instead.
"We want to show her how worthy she really is and raise as much as we can in her name."
So far, Gill has raised £375 for Macmillan Cancer Support after initially only targetting £250.
She has now doubled her aim to £500 and is considering doubling it again to £1,000.
Gill's son Elliot also has his own page with a target of £500 and has raised around £300 so far.
Sue has two children with Gill's husband Len, meaning that they have become very close.
The shave will take place on Friday September 30.
