A PAIR of new appointments have been made to the board of Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust.

The Trust manages mental health and community nursing and therapy services across Worcestershire.

A retired senior executive, Mr Morris said: "It's a great time to be joining Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. As a county resident for over 30 years I’m looking forward to the opportunity to use my skills and experience to benefit local people."

Meanwhile, chartered accountant Mr Tilton said: "I have many reasons to be grateful to the NHS and this is a great opportunity to give something back. I look forward to supporting the organisation to continue the good work it does."

The new appointments follow the recent resignation of Martin Connor, a non-executive director at the Trust since 2011, who has re-located to Scotland.

Chris Burdon, chairman at the NHS Trust, said: "Both Stephen and Jamie will bring additional skills, experience and insight which will support the Trust in building on a really positive recent CQC inspection which praised the leadership right across the organisation.

"I would also like to publicly thank Martin Connor for his dedication and commitment to the Trust over the last five years. He has made a significant contribution and will be missed by fellow Board members and the very many staff who came into contact with him."
