AN HISTORIC venue is set to host Droitwich Arts Network's (DAN) annual exhibition this October.

The Long Gallery at Hanbury Hall, near Droitwich, will soon be filled with dozens of paintings by members of DAN for the exhibition, which runs from October 4 to 9.

Tamara Jelaca, exhibition organiser, said: "Our talented DAN members have opportunities to display their art work at various places in and around Droitwich throughout the year and we particularly look forward to our annual exhibition which takes place during October in the Long Gallery at Hanbury Hall.

"It is a wonderful venue which attracts many visitors to the hall who will also come along to enjoy viewing the hundred or so paintings on display in the Long Gallery and even purchase a favourite to take home."

Malcolm Wakeman, DAN chairman, said visitors at the weekend may even have the chance to paint a portrait of a member of National Trust staff dressed in period costume.

He said: "We are delighted to be holding our members' annual exhibition at such a wonderful venue again this year where it has become a favourite for the many visitors to Hanbury Hall.

"The fine works of art that will be on display by our talented artist demonstrates a range of skills, techniques and mediums that they have used.

"So please come along and support local artists at their annual exhibition in the Long Gallery at Hanbury Hall."
