A PRISONER at a Worcestershire prison has pleaded guilty to murdering an inmate with a rock from a fish tank.

Victor Castigador, 61, killed Sidonio Eugenio Teixeira on Monday, June 20, in South Littleton's Long Lartin prison, near Evesham.

Castigador pleaded guilty to the murder at Worcester Crown Court after admitting to hitting the victim several times with a rock, which he had placed inside a sock.

Sidonio Teixeira suffered serious head injuries from the attack and was pronounced dead on his way to hospital.

Teixeira was jailed in 2007 for murdering his three-year-old daughter and trying to kill his nine-year-old son and Mr Castigador was jailed for murdering two people and attempting to kill another two in 1990.

Castigador has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court on October 21.
