A CONSULTATION has been launched after an application for a housing development in Worcester was resubmitted.

Plans for the building of 52 homes at Old Northwich Farm in Northwick Road were originally approved in February 2015.

The approved application, from Bloor Homes, included plans for 21 affordable homes, the demolition of number 221 Northwick Road, as well as car parking arrangements, an open and nature reserve, and a new footpath link.

But after the time ran out for building work to begin, a new applicant, Nick Rawlings of Tewkesbury, has taken over the site and resubmitted a new application for it - which is similar to the last approved one.

As the application has been submitted, a consultation has now been launched with people being given the chance to have their say.

The Worcester News has learned that the only circumstances in which the application would be rejected, would be if it was proved there had been significant alterations to the consultation, which lead planners to reject the scheme.
