A MAN has appeared in court after he was charged with a series of burglaries across Worcester.

Nicholas Dutfield, aged 45, of no fixed abode has been charged with nine burglaries.

The burglaries which involved the theft of cash took place at St Andrew's Methodist Church in Pump Street, Cash Converters in Pump Street, the Co-op in Canada Way, Lower Wick, the rowing club in Grandstand Road, the West Midlands Tavern in Lowesmoor, Europcar in Bromwich Road, St John's, a narrowboat in Diglis, the Anchor Pub in Diglis and the Postal Order in Foregate Street.

Dutfield appeared in court and remains in custody.
