A YOUNG girl has set a date to have her long locks cut off to help a charity which provides wigs for children who have lost their hair and to support her aunt who has battled an inoperable brain tumour.

Real life Rapunzel Amelia ‘Milly’ Grace Lomax will donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust and has now set a date for her haircut at Serene Hair and Beauty, 4 Anchorage Green, Lyppard Grange, Worcester.

She will have her hair cut on November 16 at 3.45pm with her mother Cat who will also be having her hair cut to support her daughter.

We have previously reported how the five-year-old of Racefield, Warndon Villages, was inspired by her 35-year-old aunt Gala Rowley who has raised thousands for the Brain Tumour Charity and has also lobbied MPs for more to be done to fight brain tumours and fund research.

As previously reported Miss Rowley of Arboretum, Worcester, suffered slight brain damage as a result of radiotherapy to treat the tumour, leaving her forgetful and slightly deaf.

Miss Rowley said: "I am very much moved by her decision, especially given her age, to help children that have lost their hair due to medical reasons, and to raise money for such an important cause."
