THE Christmas fayre is back today with four days of fun, entertainment and festive shopping.
We are running a live blog on today's opening here: LIVE - Worcester's Victorian Christmas Fayre opens
And here are ten things you can enjoy over the next four days:
1. THE OPENING PROCESSION
As darkness falls over the city tonight, a festive procession will make its way from The Guildhall to Cornmarket to kick start the Christmas fayre. And what better way to get into the spirit of the season than a carol service.
2. A SPIN ON THE CAROUSEL
The Victorian Christmas Fayre wouldn't be the Victorian Christmas Fayre without the carousel - or the obligatory picture of the mayor on one of the horses.
3. OR TAKE IN THE VIEWS FROM THE FERRIS WHEEL
For the braver souls, a ride on the Ferris wheel will give you a spectacular bird's eye view of the event.
4. GIN LANE
Dare you walk down Gin Lane and meet the unsavoury characters which loiter around. Clik Clik Collective return with one of the highlights of the fayre as they recreate a Victorian slum in The Shambles on Friday and Saturday.
5. JUGGLING AND JOKES
Roaming the streets will be Steve Kaos and Mark Russell who will be disguised as Victorian gentleman and ready to entertain at the drop of a top hat.
6. CHESTNUTS
Nothing says Victorian Christmas like chestnuts roasting on an open fire - and it is all for a good cause.
7. THE SWEET SOUND OF SCHOOL CHOIRS
Christmas carols and favourite festive hits will be performed by schools throughout the four days. How sweet. To find out when they will be performing as well as other bands and singers click here.
8. LET FATHER CHRISTMAS READ YOU A STORY
Little ones will not want to miss out on Father Christmas reading them a story. Head to Crowngate to hear The Nutcracker running on the hour every hour between these time here.
9. MULLED WINE
But this one is definitely not for children - get into the festive spirit with a warming glass of mulled wine and a mince pie.
10. START BUYING YOUR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS
There will be a whole host of potential pressies on offer from comedy hats and candles to gifts for your pets and jewellery.
Finally, we will be live blogging the event so send in your pictures to news@worcesternews, on Twitter @worcesternews or via facebook.com/theworcesternews.
