THE Museum of Royal Worcester is dishing up a fun Christmas craft event for youngsters who can recreate the sort of festive feast enjoyed by the Prince Regent 200 years ago.

Children aged over five can discover what people ate for Christmas dinner in Regency times and can try making paper vegetables and a mince pie filled with the ingredients of the day including raisins, sugar and ox tongue.

They can serve it up on a replica Prince Regent special dinner service, which was made for the prince at the Worcester Porcelain factory.

Children attending the event can take home their creations and leave them out for Santa on Christmas Eve. The event takes place at the museum on Saturday December 10 from 11am and 2pm and costs £2.50 per child. Parent accompanying children go free.
