A TALENTED gymnastics team from Worcester has won a place at a schools competition.
Nunnery Wood High School's year 8 and 9 gymnastics team scooped the spot after coming fourth at the West Midlands Schools Floor and Vault Regional Gymnastics Competition.
The Nunnery team, Emer Hancock, Mya Leonard, Charlotte Baddeley and Millie Crawford, achieved the highest team score in the vault competition, and only missed out on third place by 0.1 points.
Charlotte was awarded the highest vault score out of all the under 14 girls, with 15.25/16.
They will now go on to compete at the Milano Trio Competition in Stoke-on-Trent in the new year.
PE teacher Gemma Gleeson said: "The girls' excellent performance and behaviour was commented on by all the judges, and due to the high natures of their scores we have been asked to compete in the Milano Trio competition."
The competition will be held on Saturday, January 28, at Fenton Manor in Stoke-on-Trent.
