WITH Worcester firsts having already finished for the Christmas break the other seven men’s teams attempted to bring home results for the hockey club.

The seconds started off well, picking up a 3-2 win at home against Warwick in the Warwick Printing West Midlands Premier Division.

Centre-forward Joe Barker scored a brace, while Rob Goodman picked up the third in an impressive showing to put the side two points clear of fourth place.

The thirds were also facing off against Warwick but the result was reversed as they succumbed to a 3-2 loss in a disappointing Midlands One away day.

Worcester fourths also battled against a strong Warwick side with Nat Garfield getting two goals before Rees Bonham scored the third in a 3-3 draw in the West Midlands Premier.

The fifths suffered a disappointing goalless trip to Harborne in the West Midlands Premier as they lost 2-0 against the third-placed side.

Worcester’s sixth team battled to a 1-1 draw against a weakened Bridgnorth side.

The men’s seventh team bought more glory to Worcester with hat-trick hero Jacob Moseley helping the side to a 4-3 win against Edgbaston to leave them four points off the South West Division One summit.

But the eighths could not round it off with a win as they fell to a 3-1 defeat at Kidderminster following a reverse-stick finish from Andrew Pritchard.
