STOCKINGS filled to the brim with festive treats were delivered to Maggs Day Centre by 'Father Christmas and his little helper'.

Managing director Neil Sysum and daughter Jessica dressed up to deliver the goodies to the centre for homeless people ahead of their Christmas meal.

The team at SW&A Accountants, based in Hallow, decided they would try and help residents at Maggs Day Centre with festive gifts.

They handed over 40 Christmas stockings filled with hats, gloves, socks, razors, deodorants, chocolate bars, cans of pop and made the stocking up at their offices.

Businesses and individuals donated goods for the gifts after an appeal on social media, through business contacts and in the Worcester News.

Mr Sysum said: "Myself and my daughter Jessica dressed as Santa and his little elf helper to deliver 40 packed stocking for the homeless at Maggs Day Centre.

"Chelsea Roberts and the rest of the team were thrilled to bits.

"The tables set for Christmas looked great and we are so pleased we could help.

"We couldn't have done it without the help from #WorcestershireHour, the Sterling Business Network and donations from staff, clients, contacts on Facebook thanks to the Worcester News and business contacts since we asked for support at the beginning of December.

"Utilising the two networks, we had help, donations and pooled support from Birmingham through to Bristol and people have really chipped in to do all they can to help. The support has been great.

"The whole team at SW&A Accountants has been involved to help source, prepare and of course deliver on our pledge made to the lovely people at Maggs Day Centre.

"It's so nice to know that our little bit helps and we're pleased to have exceeded our initial goal."
