STUDENTS got first-hand experience of working for a communications agency during a recent open day.

Staff at drp, an agency based in Hartlebury, hosted an interactive day for advanced web development students at the University of Worcester.

A group of 50 students were given an introduction to the business, before touring its complex and hearing talks from five members of the digital team.

Ben Wallace, director of drpdigital, said: "Inviting students to the drpoffice is an exciting and tangible way for students to gain an insight into their possible careers post-graduation.

"It is not only a brilliant opportunity for the students, it also is a great chance for us to meet possible future team members and display our talents as the leading creative comms agency in Worcestershire and even the UK."

Sean Preston, sessional lecturer in computing at the university's Worcester Business School, said: "We would like to thank drp for taking the time out of their busy day to share their individual experiences with our students during our visit to their impressive facility.

"All the students who attended the visit are coming to the end of their time at university and the opportunity to see how drp work will inspire many to pursue their career in the digital industry."
