IT is the end of an era as work to demolish the former Wyre Forest Glades Leisure Centre has begun.
Reader Glyn Lloyd sent in this footage to our sister paper Kidderminster Shuttle which captured AR Demolition demolishing the vacant leisure centre building, in Bromsgrove Street.
The Glades officially closed its doors for the final time in July 2016, following 30-years of service, to pave the way for the new multi-million pound Wyre Forest Leisure Centre.
The Glades was opened by Princess Diana in March 1986.
Since its closure, the building has been a target for vandalism, arson attacks and trespassers.
