PUPILS from Eckington CE First School have handed over more than £100 to Midlands Air Ambulance.
The money was raised through a dress down day at the school.
The idea came from two school council members Georgina Cook and Will Leighfield who presented it to the school council meeting.
They wanted to support the charity as a thank you because Georgina's cousin had been taken to hospital in the air ambulance.
The duo gave a cheque for £114.76.
Gill Humphriss, acting headteacher, Eckington CE First said: "I am extremely proud of the children.
"They both demonstrated excellent leadership skills and continue to lead the school council in a mature manner. "We are hoping to run another fund-raising day in the summer."
