STAFF and students wound back the clock to the early 1900s for a themed day inspired by a popular children's novel.
Year 6 students at Witton Middle School, in Droitwich, dressed up in period costume for the Private Peaceful-themed day on Friday, February 17.
Pupils are studying the story in their English lessons, and took part in a variety of activities to further understand the history behind the tale.
They made keepsake photo frames, cooked 'rabbit dropping' cakes, sang traditional marching songs, played playground games and visited an old-fashioned school room.
A spokesman for the school said: "A great deal of fun was had by all!"
