CHILDREN from an Eckington school found out how pantomime works during a theatre trip.
All pupils from Eckington CE First School went to see Jack and the Beanstalk at The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham.
The children were introduced to the story and character during a workshop at the event.
Yasmina Bailey, from year 4, won a writing competition that was held as part of the workshop.
She was praised for her excellent handwriting and won a family ticket to see Dick Whittington next year and was invited the the theatre's gala performance as a special guest.
Gill Humphriss, acting head teacher, said: "We were all very proud."
