COULD 2017 be the year you achieve your own career goals?

The Worcester News Jobs Fair is now just three weeks away and jobseekers are being encouraged to come along to Worcester’s historic Guildhall on Thursday, March 16 and talk to businesses from across the career spectrum.

Now in its 15th year, the fair is designed to bring together employers and job seekers into a relaxed and informative networking hub.

One new face at this year’s fair is Recruit CrownGate, which will be on hand to talk about opportunities within the retail sector.

They offer a free, professional recruitment service for jobseekers, CrownGate retailers and local businesses.

The service offers tailor-made interview and assessment days and matches skilled candidates with appropriate job vacancies at the centre and the surrounding area.

Successful candidates are also provided with workplace mentoring for the first six months after their appointment, to help ensure that people remain in position and progress.

Richard Hencher, event co-ordinator, said: “This event highlights some of the great opportunities available in the local area and gives job seekers the chance to meet employers face to face.

"We are anticipating about 750 people will attend on the day”

Employer stands confirmed at the event so far include Recruit Crowngate, West Mercia Police, Sanctuary Group, Wye Valley NHS Trust, Shaw Healthcare, BUPA, Friends of the Elderly, Turning Point and Job Centre Plus.

Stall spaces are limited. To book a stand, or for more information, contact the jobs fair team on 01905 742356 or email jobfair@worcesternews.co.uk

The fair will be open to jobseekers from 9.30am until 3.30pm and admission is free.
