THE son of a man whose 'beloved' Morris van was stolen from his home is asking for help after it was spotted in Worcestershire.

Paul Haidon said the blue Morris 1000 van was spotted in Malvern on Sunday near the retail park at 11am and on Avon Road, Worcester today (Monday).

The van was taken on Sunday, February 19 from Shurdington, Cheltenham.

It's turquoise blue, has the registration number is RRD 790H and has R D Haidon Horticultural Engineer written on its sides and rear doors.

His Facebook post appealing for people to help return the van to his father has been shared almost 17,000 times.

The post reads: "And?... I hear you say... well this was no ordinary van.

"It was my Dad's trusty steed while he ran his business for over 50 years servicing lawn mowers in Gloucestershire. "It ferried me and my brother and sister to scouts, guides, swimming and school.

"I learned to drive in it, I learned to smile in it.

"This van has been in my Dad's life as long as I have. We need to get it back! PLEASE PLEASE HELP!"

Anyone who has seen the van, should call Gloucestershire Police on 101 quoting incident number 166 of February 20 or call 01242 423108.
