A TIRELESS fundraiser has completed her ninth charity challenge in aid of St Richard's Hospice.

Angela Bill, who lives in Droitwich, took on a triathlon and raised a tremendous £769 to help fund the hospice's vital services.

The long-time hospice supporter finished the challenge – a 2km swim, 20km cycle and 20km walk – in just six hours.

Mrs Bill, who is retired, has taken on a variety of activities for St Richard's, including walking the Atlas Mountains, a skydive and treks across the county.

"I have lived in Droitwich with my family for more than 30 years and I first came into contact with St Richard’s 13 years ago when I worked there and saw first-hand the great work they do," she said.

The fundraiser has been joined on a number of her fundraising challenges by her daughter Alison, including taking on the 15-mile Malvern Hills Walk, Midnight Walk and 31-mile Worcestershire Way.

Mrs Bill added: "I am passionate about the hospice being able to continue to offer their free care and this is why I took on my ninth challenge to raise funds.

"I did lots of training beforehand and really enjoyed the challenges. I had huge support from people which is what kept me going and my husband Roger has been a great support through all my challenges."

Jayne Sargeant, fundraiser at St Richard's, said: "We really appreciate all the fundraising Angela has done over the years, taking on a wide range of challenges in her bid to raise as much money as possible to help fund our continuing care."

The hospice provides free, specialist, palliative care for patients living with life-limiting illnesses and supports their loved ones.
