Laptops stolen from Worcester school

NEARLY £5000 of computer equipment has been stolen from a Worcester school.

Laptops were taken during a burglary at Fairfield Primary School on Carnforth Drive.

Six laptops and two charging units - together worth £4,800 - were taken between 7.30pm on Friday, June 29 and 6.55am on Monday, July 2.

Taken were three Acer laptops worth £2,400, an £800 Viglen laptop and two DMG laptops and their chargers worth a total of £1,600.

A police spokeswoman said: "This is valuable equipment and we ask people to be on their guard and contact the police if they are offered second-hand laptops for sale that match the ones taken from the school."

Anyone who is offered a laptop from an unusual - or suspect - source or has any information on the incident should contact police on 08457 444 888, quoting 0102S/020707. Information can also be given - anonymously - to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
