IF you want to know how it feels to suddenly have an album in the top twenty of the album charts, ask Ripple teenager, Tazmin Barnes.

But Tazmin, aged 14, is no stranger to showbiz success.

Returning to the UK after growing up in China, Tazmin entered and finished up as Runner Up in the National Final of Teenstar UK in 2015.

She was then invited to perform at several festival and events in throughout the Midlands and South West including at Livestock.

But her album success this week, which the modest teenager did not expect, has put her in a new and altogether different league: among the towering giants of the contemporary music scene.

Tazmin said: "To be in the Top 20 Albums surrounded by superstars such as Adele, Beyonce, Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran with my EP is a dream come true - I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the charts.

"Now I hope to get the chance to perform my album at some events and festivals this summer. "

Her debut EP, called “Trapped", just released, was soon sitting nicely at the No.16 slot in the iTunes Pop Album Charts, surrounded by some of the biggest names in the industry.

Her EP contains four tracks, three of which are originals with lyrics and music, both written by Tazmin.

The fourth track is a cover of Lady Gaga’s ‘Million Reasons’.

‘Trapped' was produced by Alex Hart, recorded at the Strawhouse Studio in Rugby and released under the Big Help Music Record Label.
