STUDENTS at Dyson Perrins CE Academy in Malvern are busy putting the final touched to their production of Rock Of Ages.

The show is a fun-packed tale set on LA's famous Sunset Strip. The year is 1987 and rock music rules in the legendary Bourbon Room club hosted by Dennis Dupree (Daniel Mansell).

Sherrie (Molly Smout) is the archetypal small-town girl who comes to LA to make it big and not only lands a job at the Bourbon but also falls in love with Drew, also known as aspiring rock singer Wolfgang Von Colt (Josh Hughes.

The plot twists and turns to the background of a multitude of 80s rock classics such as Wanted Dead Or Alive, The Final Countdown and Don't Stop Believing will have the audience dancing in the aisles!

Rehearsals began last October and the students involved have been working so hard every week to get this show ready for the stage.

The performances will not only include great acting, singing and dancing but amazing visual effects and green-screen footage to add some wow factor'.

The performers are also being supported by a large backstage crew and technical team, all of them also Dysons students.

The show runs from Wednesday tp Friday, March 29 to 31, and performances start at 7pm. Tickets cost £5 for adults and £4 for students and are available from the school reception on 01684 564751.
