STAFF and students at Nunnery Wood High School kicked off their Red Nose Day fundraising campaign with a series of Sport Relief challenges.
The students completed the Sport Relief Mile in their PE lessons during the week on Monday, March 13.
Then a series of challenges, including table tennis matches, were held in the hall during a lunchtime.
Pupils could donate for the chance to see if they could beat their PE teacher.
Year 7 student, Harvey Facey scored three consecutive netball shots from increasing distances, whilst in the standing jump competition while year 7 student, Will Meredith, ran 1.90m to win a challenge to see who could get the closest to a run by Geography teacher James Nightingale.
The final challenge was a one minute row, which was won by year 10 student, Amy Cother with 255 meters.
Mr Nightingale, Geography/ECO Schools & Student Challenge, said: “Thanks goes to the Charity Club for collecting in the donations and to the PE department for setting up the challenges and ensuring that the over-competitive staff played fairly.”
