A DOG walker has been left "shaken" after a man who was exposing himself and holding a knife tried to rob her.

The victim, a woman in her 60s, was walking her dog along a path between Bomford Hill Park and Redstone Close in Redditch shortly after 6am on Thursday, March 23.

She was approached by a man, who was holding a weapon – believed to be a knife – and exposing himself at the same time.

The offender demanded she hand over her personal belongings, but the victim's dog jumped towards him and he fled the scene.

Nothing was taken and the victim was uninjured, by police say she has been "shaken up" by the incident.

The offender is described as being white, around 30 years old, and 6ft tall. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket and dark trousers at the time.
