FOR a moment this looks like another replica of artist Jack Vettriano’s Bluebird at Bonneville.
But on closer inspection it becomes clear this scene is set slightly closer to home.
Brighton artist Terry Horton’s alternative version of the distinctive painting swaps the salt flats of Utah for the Victorian arches on Madeira Drive in Brighton.
The original painting was one of a set of seven focusing on British racing driver Sir Malcolm Campbell’s Bluebird cars.
Sir Malcolm used them to set nine land speed records between the two world wars.
Bluebird at Bonneville was sold in 2007 for more than £460,000.
Mr Horton, who calls his pastiche The Brighton Bluebird, is hoping to have the artwork on display during the Brighton Fringe next month.
