YOUNG magicians were given a graduation ceremony to celebrate their achievements.

Two groups of children completed the six week course, which taught them a range of different tricks and children were given certificates after performing a show at the culmination of their course.

The children are set into two groups, one for five to seven year olds and the other for eight-12 year olds, with them taught by Miraculous Magic.

Neil Stroud, head tutor, said: "The miraculous part is the children, learning aspects of magic.

"Children get told that they are not very good at this or that but the good thing about magic is that it is simple, anyone can learn it and it is a great feeling when you get a reaction from somebody after performing a bit of magic, it makes them feel like they can do anything."

The course was held at Tolladine Community Centre on Rowan Avenue, with courses supported by councillor Alan Amos and Worcester City Council.

Council funding means that each session costs just 50p a head.

A new 12 week course will start on Wednesdays at Tolladine Community Centre on April 26, with five to seven year old's having lessons from 3.30pm until 4.30pm with the older age group in from 5pm until 6pm.

A six week course is also starting on Friday April 28 running every Friday for six weeks at Warndon Youth and Community Centre, with lessons taking place at the same times.
