WORCESTERSHIRE Arts Partnership has been boosted with a grant of £20,000 from The Arts Council.

The grant, being given over a two year period, will help run a project to showcase new performances and for writing across the county.

The project, called Jump Start, forms part of Worcestershire County Council's arts strategy, 1,000 days, and will see up to 30 new performances across Worcestershire.

Steve Wilson, the county's arts officer, said: "This is great news for the county and we are delighted that the Arts Council recognise the work of the arts partnership."
