'VANDALS' are thought to be behind a baffling alteration to a Worcester road sign.
The sign for Trent Road, off Newtown Road in Ronkswood, was spotted hanging upside down by a member of the public.
Worcester City Council workers went out earlier today (Monday) and corrected the sign's position.
John Heath, of Naunton Road in Upton Snodsbury, saw the sign on Saturday, May 6.
He said: "I wasn't too sure whether it was done by yobbos or whether it was just a mistake by the people who put it up.
"It just seemed odd and peculiar."
A council spokesman said: "It wasn't any action on our part. It is an act of vandalism. The team were already aware of it. They are out repairing it today."
