CHILDREN were caught up in a crash which led to the front bumper of a car being ripped off.

A Kia Picanto and a Citroen Xsara were involved in the incident in Coombs Road, Worcester, near the junction with Droitwich Road.

A woman was driving one of the vehicles while a pair of adults and two children were in the other car.

West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that all the vehicles’ occupants were ‘walking wounded’ and that there were no serious injuries.

The service received a report at 3.30pm today (May 8) and sent two ambulances and a paramedic area support officer to the scene.

Paramedics are currently assessing people involved in the incident.

A fire crew from Worcester was also dispatched to make the scene safe.

Traffic is reportedly backed up in the area.
