CHILDREN are being invited along to a messy church event where they can make a lion's face – out of a pancake.
The session takes place between 10am and noon on Saturday, May 20, at St Andrew's Church in St Andrew's Street, Droitwich.
There will be all sorts of lion-theme crafts, including the chance to make animals using lolly sticks and dolly pegs.
The theme for this month's messy church focuses on the Bible story of Daniel in the lion's den.
Rev Bev Jameson, team vicar at Droitwich Spa, Salwarpe and Hindlip with Martin Hussingtree, said: "The crafts are just brilliant the children and the mums and dads will love making – and eating – the pancake face lion."
There will also be songs, a short talk and a free lunch of sandwiches and cake.
Messy church is free and open to all children of all ages, accompanied by an adult.
The Parish Centre Cafe will be closed to the public that day.
