THE police and crime commissioner wants to attend a series of events to get to know people in Worcestershire and better understand their concerns.

West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner, John Campion, will be attending a number of popular event across the force area, including in Malvern, Pershore and Bromyard.

The commissioner, his deputy, Tracey Onslow and community ambassadors will be attending a total of eight events including the Royal Three Counties Show in Malvern on Saturday, June 17, Bromyard Steam Rally and Gala on Saturday, June 24 and Pershore Plum Festival on Monday, August 28.

There will be a West Mercia PCC stand at every event.

John Campion said: “Whilst I regularly get out and about meeting people, the vast West Mercia area has a population of 1.2 million so by being at these events I hope to meet even more local communities.

“I promised to sustain and extend relationships with our communities by improving engagement, visibility and accessibility.

"This is one way that I am delivering on that promise and ensuring people have a strong voice around policing and crime. If anyone is planning on coming to any of the events, I would encourage them to drop by and say hello.”
