A WORCESTER schoolgirl has recently returned from the British Dance Organisation Street Dance National Championships in Blackpool with a string of achievements to her name.

Year 8 student, Libby Finch of Nunnery Wood High School, came in at fourth place among a group of 63 competitors in her solo performance.

She also gained first place in her duo category and second in her quad performance.

Lucy has been street dancing for about two years now at Beatbreakerz school of Dance in Worcester and trains for six hours every Sunday.

Lucy said: “My Dad is my inspiration for dancing.

"He was a break dancer when he was younger.

"It’s amazing to think how far you can get when you really try.

"I am looking forward to my next competition now.”

Emma Telger, head of year 8, said: "Libby was so proud to tell me all about her medals and trophies.

"She deserves this success and I know that she trains very hard to achieve her goals."
