CHADDESLEY Corbett finish their point-to-point season with the Albrighton and Woodland (South) meeting on Monday.

Every point-to-point at the venue has proved popular this season and the next event, with the first race off at 1.30pm, has attracted 160 entries which is the most for any fixture over the bank holiday.

Alex Edwards and Sam Jukes have been battling for the riders' title for six months but the former delivered a hammer blow with four Wheatland meeting winners in mid-May.

Helped by Bridgnorth trainer Phil Rowley Edwards has ridden 10 winners at four Chaddesley meetings this season.

Rowley and Edwards have a strong hand in the men’s open where the one to beat Temple Grandin or One More Tune hold entries.

One More Tune dealt a crushing defeat to the in-form Arthurs Secret this season and could record a second successive win in the event.

Jukes was at his best when steering Stone to an impressive victory over Universal Solider at Woodford.

Having seen off one Micky Bowen runner they face another serious challenge from Flying Eagle.

Sacre Toi gave jockey David Redvers a long-awaited first win at Cothelstone which will hold them in good stead.

The conditions race has attracted 33 entries including the consistent Namako and Mac’s Gift from the Rowley yard.

With six wins Lough Inch bids to become the country's leading horse but may have to put in his best display to record number seven.

He faces stiff competition from Breaking the Bank, Easythingsarebest and Knockoutloaded.

Local hopes rest with Cab on Times, In The Dock and Passage East.

Temple Grandin also holds a ladies' open entry while Patricktom Boru seems to come good late in the season but lost in the race 12 months ago and may finish behind Start Royal.

Aikideau's chances have to be respected if he travels from the West Country and Spencer Moon has been on top form.

The Martin Weston-trained Cut the Corner has been a major disappointment but stable-mate Awesome George has done little wrong though he was nabbed on the post at Whitfield.

Awesome George’s connections could run in the novice riders where potential opponents include Temple Grandin again.

A placing for Allerton would help secure a second ladies' title for Lilly Pinchin and others to note include American Legend, Balkinstown, Ice Cool Benny and El Lobo.

But the one they all have to fear is Tinkers Hill Tommy.

With Ed Bailey sidelined through a collarbone injury Charlie Davies hope to eat into his men’s novice riders' lead.

Davies, based with top trainer Jonjo O'Neill in the Cotswolds, is seven points behind so anything American Legend achieves would help.

The jockey teamed up with Wild Ginger to win for the trainer’s wife at Whitfield.

Despite the step up in class they can enjoy success in the restricted against Golanzine who ran well at Cothelstone.

Jukes hopes to end the season on a high but there are doubts about The Well Road who will need to put past displays behind him to succeed.

Massini’s Dream was impressive when winning at Machen recently.

Axelle Wall’s Ask Connie catches the eye in the mares maiden but has the choice of engagements over the weekend.

Bignose Kate struggled in her previous races but has a chance if she can survive the climb into the home straight.

Dorset trainer Jack Barber will be keen to go out with a winner with Now Voyager in the mares race after deciding to ply his trade under National Hunt Rules.

Barber has the unraced Hugo’s Horse in the open maiden which is the West Midlands season's final race.

Mark Wilesmith’s Jacks Ranger and Jane Allfrey’s Master Hide could challenge.

Dramatic Pause may end a tremendous season for Rowley’s stable with another winner.
