A MAN has been arrested outside a shop in Worcester for an attempted theft and public order offence.
A heavy police presence including police officers and community support officers arrived outside the entrance to House of Fraser in the CrownGate Shopping Centre in Worcester city centre just after 2pm today (Thursday).
A witness, who declined to be named, said: "It appeared a dad was arrested while his son stood by crying."
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “I can confirm that police were called today at approximately 2.03pm to a report of anti-social behaviour at a premises in the CrownGate Shopping Centre vicinity.”
The suspect was taken away by police car from Broad Street, just outside the entrance to the shopping centre.
