A MAN was poked several times in the chest during an assault in Worcester which left the victim 'shaken'.

The assault happened in the woods between Barass Avenue and Trotshill Way in Warndon Villages at around 4.10pm on Sunday (June) 11.

A man in his 50s and a teenage boy were walking a dog when an unknown man approached them.

A verbal altercation broke out and the man is understood to have poked the man in his 50s a number of times in the chest before walking away.

The victim did not suffer any serious injuries but was left shaken up by the incident.

The man is described as white, in his 40s, with a tanned complexion, and gold-rimmed glasses. He had dark hair, which was receding slightly and going grey on the sides. He is thought to have spoken with a local accent and was dressed smartly in a black shirt and dark trousers.

Enquiries are currently ongoing but officers are keen for anyone who saw the assault, who witnessed anyone acting suspiciously or who was in the area at the time of the incident to come forward.
